Why we Love jackets

Trench coats, Blazers, Jean Jackets, Bomber Jackets (any type of cover-up for that manner) add flair to any outfit. Whether it's to add more edge or to make the outfit more demure; the jacket becomes a very important element. Examples include bomber jackets over a floral dresses (a look that is becoming very popular this season) or layering a cropped jacket over wide-leg pants to add length to your frame. Cover-ups enhance the theme of the ensemble.

'conservative yet sexy' is the name of the game

Yes gorgeous, being conservative is always a good thing! I really dislike when young women (or men, you never know these days) wear next to nothing. It's quite unattractive and sends the wrong message.
So my rule of thumb is to show off only one body part at a time. For instance, if I want to wear a mini-skirt I would pair it with a non-cleavage bearing top, and vice-versa. I always like to leave a lasting impression and the best way to do that is by showing only a little of what you got at a time. Leave the naughty attire for the bedroom! No one wants to see that while socializing with your friends. :)
(my apologizes for the laundry basket in the background)

You see, completely covered in the front and showing a glimpse of skin in the back.
I must say, I felt very sexy in this ensemble.

Dress: Winter Kate (on sale, nbd)
Tights: Target
Heels: Steve Madden

My dear friend is displaying a perfect example of 'conservative yet sexy'
Here she mixes a blazer, white-shirt (a MUST in every fashionistas wardrobe) and cute jean short- shorts. She adds a little sex appeal with her strappy brown pumps and her fabulous new bangs!
So gorgeous!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Cheetah Girl

I fractured my L3 vertebrate at the end of January (avoid black ice at all times!!!!) and since then traveling long distances has been somewhat of a burden. So I have been a lot of exploring and shopping online.
When shopping online you always have to be prepared with the fact that what you bought is not always what you will receive. With that being said I mostly shop online for T-shirts and accessories because I have yet to receive something that doesn’t fit or is not what I ordered. (Knock on wood)
The cheetah print tunic I’m wearing I bought from Nastygal.com, which is a super fun site that has many different styles all within a reasonable price point that is suitable for any college or young professional.
The leggings are from UrbanOutfitters.com and have thus far been one of my favorite purchases! They create the illusion of model-length-legs since the opaque material stops just below the knee and by doing so they elongate the leg.
The look was mostly monotone in color composition so in order to create a little pop I paired it with an electric blue purse and baby blue necklace. All in all the look added a little spice to my evening and since the weather has slowly been getting warmer (HELL YES!) I did not have to wear a jacket with this outfit.

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Finals are rapidly approaching and I gotta get my head in the game if I want to graduate with a bang! More posts coming soon and with a real photographer taking the pics!! Yay!!

Studs, Studs, and more Studs

i love studs! Whether they're adorning shoes, totes, jackets, or shirts i just can't get enough. The fun thing about studs is that they add that tough/badass element to your outfit, BUT you can still keep it girly if you so crave. Here is an example of how i wear my studs...
